Features:
  • New Karoo Only:
    • Introducing media player on Karoo.
      • We added the ability for riders to control media (play, pause, skip, rewind, and change volume) playing on their phone from Karoo. Riders can access the media player from the Control Center when media is playing on their phone.
        • Please note you must update the Companion App to the latest version, and the app must be running and connected to Karoo for the media player to work.
      • We added the ability to add media player controls as data fields to any data page.
      • We added media player controls to AXS configure controls on Karoo. This allows riders to control the media player using SRAM Bonus Buttons or Blips.
      • For more information on how to get the most out of Karoo’s media player, please see here.
    • We added power smoothing to workout data fields. This allows riders to apply smoothing to workout target and output data fields that display in the workout drawer or in workout data fields.

  • Bug Fixes:
    • We fixed an issue where third-party API workouts were getting deleted on refresh. 

Companion App:

  • Android (v 1.45.1):
    • Features:
      • Introducing live tracking auto-share.
        • Riders can now add email contacts to automatically receive a live tracking link when a ride starts. Auto-share can be setup via the Companion App settings.
        • We added the ability to share a 24-hour link. This link will expire after 24 hours.
        • We added the ability to toggle live tracking on/off via the Companion App.
        • Live tracking updates are available for both new Karoo and Karoo 2, but require internet connectivity via Companion App or hotspot/SIM card.

      • We’ve added an account verification step for unverified accounts through SRAM SSO
